I am a firm believer that it is crucial to teach players to finish with both hands from the start of their training. What are some drills that you like to use?
Here is one of mine:
Each player has their own basketball
All players are divided into 4 lines, 1 in each corner
1 half of the court goes at a time, immediately followed by the other half.
For this drill, one player on each of the two lines on half of the court will go at a time. They will dribble up the sideline and meet at half court with a jump stop a few meters apart. One of the lines does a bounce pass, and the other line does a chest pass. As soon as the players receive the pass at the same time, they will go try to make a halfcourt layup before the other player.
Players will go to the opposite line after they are finished.
